Hello,

To celebrate the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece this summer, the
Hellenic vACC (HvACC) is planning an Olympic Flame relay event for the
first weekend of June. We would like to ask for your feedback,
participation and support for the event. The current plans we have in
mind, are for the event to have the following format:

1. The event will take place on Saturday 5th Jun.

2. Greek planes depart from Athens Venizelos (LGAV) and arrive at each
European Capital city, and at New York, Sydney and Seoul, at the same
time (we a aiming for 19:30 - 22:30 UTC) on the Saturday of the event.

3. On arrival of the Greek flame carrying plane at the country's
capital, the planes of the country of arrival that will participate in
the event will depart to carry the flame to designated airports/cities
in the territory of that country.

The Greek HvACC will be responsible for the organisation of the event up
to the arrival of the flame to your capital city, should you wish to
participate. We would like to leave the organisation of the internal
flights (planning, rostering etc), to your vACC, as we would not be
familiar with destinations, pilots etc.

To commemorate the event, upon successful completion the Hellenic vACC
will send a certificate of participation to all the pilots and
controllers that will be present and involved with the event that
memorable evening.
