Citiram: ![]() "Delivery has cleared your flight plan - you are slightly behind schedule. The ground controller requests for a quick pushback and clears your taxiway - arriving aircraft already queue for the gate. At the holding point you are cleared to line up behind a departing B737, and Tower shortly gives clearance for immediate takeoff due to landing traffic on final. During the initial climb Departure Control re-clears your aircraft up to the requested cruising altitude, but there is no time for rest: soon you are handed over to the upper area controller. Shortly after reaching FL230 another frequency change and while descending to FL170 Approach Control instructs to follow the arrival procedure. Departing traffic crossing at lower altitudes start to appear on your TCAS and the Approach Director frequently calls for speed and altitude changes. You are number 6 in sequence for the ILS approach. On final the Tower indicates a moderate crosswind and a late landing clearance - two aircraft are still ahead of you. Right after landing you are requested to vacate immediately and a busy ground controller directs you to the gate, taxiing behind an A320. Block time was almost 45 minutes, but you still have to fly the return leg, racing with time and traffic to keep the schedule....." Do you remember the very first Cityhopping event between LOWW and LHBP? And the 150+ aircraft flying the route? Fully staffed ATC provided by Austrian and Hungarian controllers will offer you to enjoy again this unique experience and fly both legs of this short but very busy route. Hop in to make the quick turnarounds from Vienna to Budapest and back. The event is on Sunday, 21st October 2007, from 1400Z until 2000Z. Charts, sceneries and other info can be found at http://www.firwien.at and http://www.vacchun.hu. For flight plans visit http://www.vatroute.net. And do not forget: the Cityhopping series will continue. |
